Why a CC licence?
I want you to see the moment as I saw it, and to enjoy the final image. This is also why I choose to share my work under a Creative Commons licence. The CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence defines clearly how the images may be used, offering more freedom for non-commercial use than standard copyright, while I retain full authorship and rights as the creator.
You are free to
- Share — copy and pass on my photos in any format or platform.
- Attribution — give appropriate credit, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable way, but not in a manner that suggests I endorse you or your use.
- NonCommercial — you may not use the material for commercial purposes.
- NoDerivatives — if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified version.
- No additional restrictions — you may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.
Questions?
If you are unsure what the licence allows, or if you are considering commercial use of my work, feel free to get in touch — I’m happy to clarify.
Did I snap a photo of you on the street?
Did I hand you my card afterwards?
If I photographed you on the street and handed you my card afterwards, thank you again for your time in front of the camera. You can download the image here for private use, as long as it remains within the terms of the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence.
If you would like a version without the watermark, just send me a message and I’ll provide a full-resolution file.
